The Movie
Introducing
This red wine blend was inspired by the movie "Corsicana". Corsicana is a film about the legendary Old West figure, Bass Reeves, a former slave from Arkansas who went on to become a Deputy United States Marshall after the Civil War. Set in 1894, US Marshall Reeves has spent months in pursuit of Jack Donner, the sadistic leader of a gang of murderous outlaws. Donner runs his outfit with an iron fist of fear and intimidation as they terrorize the Texas countryside. After being betrayed by Donner, a dying member of the gang gives Reeves the information that puts him on the trail of the ruthless band of killers. As he follows a bloody trail of bodies throughout Central Texas, Reeves is forced to reunite with his former partner turned fugitive, Sam Tanner. Together they set out to bring the "Donner Gang" to justice or leave them lying in the hot Texas sun near the oil-rich town of CORSICANA.
Veteran actor Isaiah Washington (Grey's Anatomy and The 100’s) stars as Marshall Reeves as well as making his directorial debut. The film also stars Lew Temple, Stacy Dash, Noel Gugliemi, Thomas Q. Jones, Billy Blair, Major Dodge, Brooke Anne Smith, Kevin Gage, Amber McNutt and Robert Johnson. The script was written by none other than Corsicana's own Chief of Police, Robert Johnson, with additional script credit to Isaiah Washington. Corsicana resident, Amber McNutt, is the Executive Producer as well as a Producer. Additional Producers include Ryan Delaney, Robert Johnson, and Isaiah Washington. Amber McNutt, Ryan Delaney and Robert Johnson previously teamed up to film the movie “Night Night” in Corsicana which was the inspiration for our “Night Night” red wine blend featuring actual graphics from the movie.
